Agreement
By accessing or using PromptEngine (our website, APIs where offered, and the optional Chrome extension), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The Service
PromptEngine helps you refine and structure text intended as prompts for third-party conversational AI products (for example ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini). Features, limits, and availability may change over time. We may suspend or discontinue parts of the service with reasonable notice where practicable.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use PromptEngine only in compliance with applicable law. You must not:
- Use the service to generate or facilitate unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or rights-infringing content;
- Attempt to probe, disrupt, or overload our systems, or circumvent usage limits or authentication;
- Misrepresent your identity, resell access without authorization, or scrape the service at scale without written permission.
You are solely responsible for the content you submit and for how you use outputs with third-party AI services. Their terms and policies apply separately when you use those platforms.
Accounts & Billing
Some features require an account. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials. Paid plans are billed through our payment provider; fees, renewals, and cancellation terms are shown at checkout and on our pricing page. Unless otherwise stated, subscription changes take effect according to the provider’s rules.
Chrome Extension
The PromptEngine extension runs only on the supported sites listed in the extension’s permissions and manifest. It is provided as a convenience interface to the same core service. Installing or using the extension constitutes acceptance of these terms and the extension’s disclosure in the Chrome Web Store.
Intellectual Property
Text you compose and prompts you optimize for your own use remain yours, subject to any rights of third parties in your input. The PromptEngine name, branding, software, documentation, and prompt-engineering workflows made available through the product are owned by us or our licensors and are licensed to you only for personal or internal business use in connection with the service—not for reverse engineering, competitive cloning, or redistribution of our software as a standalone product.
Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that outputs will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any decision (including professional, medical, or legal decisions).
To the extent permitted by law, PromptEngine and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim or (b) fifty U.S. dollars (USD $50), except where liability cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will make reasonable efforts to provide additional notice (for example, by email or in-product message).
